The days are busy as we continue to set up our household. Our flat in Beira, Mozambique is feeling like home. The city sometimes reminds me of Rocky Mount, NC. Some of the streets make me feel like I am riding through the neighborhood my dad grew up in. The buildings are beautiful. The Portuguese designs are amazing.
Yesterday we finally got appliances for our kitchen! We went out today to look for living room furniture. We hope to attain seating for seven very soon.
Earlier this evening I helped my mom make homemade banana bread. It smelled so good as it baked in our mini oven on the counter. Here are a few photos that my sister Sarah took while we were putting the batter together :)
We hope to do a lot more baking and cooking very soon. To those back in Nashville, I am ready to get some cinnamon buns ready to serve!

I have thought about how warm it must be for you. Hopefully I will be able to follow you thru this site. I still have not caved in to facebook. Dean said this should pop up for me. Tell everyone hello.
